Rules are announced on unconditional offers and concerns grow about the rise in university sceptics

Until September 2021, universities will be banned from making ‘conditional unconditional’ offers—a type of offer that is made unconditional only if applicants put the institution as their firm choice.

They will also be fined for making “false or misleading statements” about other institutions. Fiona McIntyre has the latest.
