The universities minister delivers an eyebrow-raising speech and we have reactions to the R&D roadmap
It’s always a bit of a coup when the universities minister agrees to talk at your conference, so there must have been much backslapping at the National Education Opportunities Network offices when Michelle Donelan agreed to come and speak at its social mobility event yesterday.
Neon, which focuses on promoting access to university for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups, issued a press release stating that Donelan was to deliver a keynote at the virtual conference that would see her officially launch a website offering advice and guidance to people considering applying to university.
