How compatible are the government’s agendas on red tape and bullying?

It would not be overstating things to say that two of the biggest concerns for academics in recent years have been the sometimes toxic culture within sections of the research community and the often overbearing amount of red tape that takes up too many hours that would be far better spent on actual work.

It will be music to the ears of many playbook readers, therefore, that the government intends to reduce the amount of bureaucracy within universities and improve the culture of academia more broadly.
