A Conservative adviser tells universities how to approach the government, and Uni Connect is assessed

‘Don’t mock the government for being irrational on free speech’ was the message yesterday to universities from a co-writer of the Conservatives’ 2019 manifesto.

Rachel Wolf, a founding partner of the research agency Public First, advised delegates to a Universities UK forum on political affairs in higher education that they should instead help the government to figure out how to chart a clear course on the issue.
