The reformed Athena Swan Charter and the reportable events universities are registering with the OfS

This morning, with a slightly Euros-induced fuzzy head, Playbook brings you news that Advance HE has published details of what it says is a “transformed UK Athena Swan Charter”. All the details are online.

Readers will be very familiar with the charter, which aims to promote gender equality in higher education by, among other things, rating university equality policies. In March last year, an independent review of the scheme, chaired by Julia Buckingham, vice-chancellor of Brunel University, found that it was overly burdensome and in places poorly understood.
