A poll of UCU members rejects the latest pay offer, and George Freeman is animated

Following the day of industrial action on 1 February, the Universities and Colleges Employers Association said the strike had only a “low and isolated” impact on universities. Ucea called on the University and College Union to put a slightly improved pay offer to its membership.

On Friday afternoon, we had the UCU membership’s answer. With 30,000 members voting in an electronic poll, more than 80 per cent rejected the employers’ offer. Fiona McIntyre was first on the scene to break the news.
