It’s a busy time at Westminster for higher education watchers

There is only one show in town today for many and that is ex-prime minister Boris Johnson’s appearance in front of the privileges committee of the House of Commons. It promises to be four popcorn-packed hours that could determine the political future of Johnson and the party he once led.

This star event will, as they say, suck all the air out of the room in today’s news cycle. It might also explain why the parliamentary timetable is so condensed round about it.
