The government has released statistics on loan repayments and the graduate labour market

As Fiona McIntyre brings us news this morning of the government’s announcement that it will increase degree places in medical schools as part of its NHS staffing plan, we also have some interesting figures for job-seeking graduates.

Recent graduates wondering whether being holed up with strangers in their first year during Covid, then missing lectures and failing to graduate because of strikes, was worth thousands of pounds of debt should take heart from statistics published by the Department for Education yesterday on the graduate labour market.
