As graduation season gathers pace, employers and the union exchange barbs once more

Historically speaking, Scotland has frequently been ahead of the game when it comes to education (higher or otherwise). In terms of higher education calendars, it is also ahead of the game chronologically.

That is why Playbook readers will have noted that things have been getting pretty heated in Scotland when it comes to the marking and assessment boycott and its impact on students. Graduation ceremonies ‘north of the border’ often take place a little earlier than elsewhere.
