Today could be the day when we finally get Horizon done
Imagine printing a story that has everyone glued to their phones, with speculation running wild, only for it to be denied by the central participants. We are not talking about salacious gossip on whoever is still left working at the BBC.
Rather, we refer to last week’s reporting that a deal had been struck on the UK’s association with the Horizon Europe R&D programme. According to those reports, prime minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen are due to meet today, with Horizon on the agenda.
