As expected, a Lords report is critical of the Office for Students
Last week, Labour took aim at what it called a “politicised” regulator for higher education in England, warning that “change is coming” should the party form the next government. This morning, the House of Lords industry and regulators committee publishes its report on the beleaguered body.
The report—entitled Must Do Better: The Office for Students and the Looming Crisis Facing Higher Education—pulls no punches. It is the direct result of a request from disgruntled vice-chancellors that parliament investigate the performance of the OfS.
