Meanwhile, graduate entry medical school at Magee campus is ‘on schedule to open in September’

Ulster University has accessed almost half of the £126 million bailout loan approved by the Northern Irish government to complete its delayed and over-budget Belfast campus scheme, its accounts show.

According to the university’s 2019-20 accounts, it accessed £61m of a £126m loan formally agreed in October 2020. The money is repayable over 30 years and it is secured against the university’s estate.
