The University of Dundee’s vice-chancellor has stepped down following his suspension last month

On 8 November the university confirmed that its principal and vice-chancellor, Andrew Atherton, had decided to quit less than a year after starting his role in January.

The news comes after Atherton was suspended by the university for allegedly not paying rent on his university-owned accommodation, according to local newspaper The Courier on 31 October.
