Scottish universities left hanging on new Covid rules

Guidance on what universities must offer under ‘blended learning’ not released as new restrictions start

The Scottish government has still not defined what universities are expected to deliver through “restricted blended learning” under its new five-tier system, despite the Covid-19 restrictions coming into force today.

A system of tiered restrictions to try to control the spread of Covid-19 launched in Scotland on 2 November, with areas in Level 0 subject to the least restrictions and those in Level 4 under the highest restrictions.
