If the UK wants to attract international students, it must be more accommodating.

Plans to introduce an annual health levy on international students and require landlords to check the immigration status of their foreign student tenants should be shelved, a Parliamentary committee heard today.

The Immigration Bill, if passed, would make it harder and more expensive for international students to come to the UK, according to academics questioned by the Lords science and technology committee.
