
A record number of students from outside the European Union have been accepted to British universities this year, according to data from the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service.
Initial data released by UCAS show that by 31 August, a total of 37,120 non-EU students have been accepted to courses at UK universities in the 2018-19 academic year. This is up 4 per cent since 2017-18 and the highest number ever.
