Universities in Pakistan are eyeing a bigger slice of the international student market, according to the chair of the country’s Higher Education Commission.
Speaking at the British Council’s Going Global conference in Berlin on 14 May, Tariq Banuri described how Pakistan is looking to attract more international students and researchers to its universities.
“We plan to open up our country, to bring more students from outside. We have security problems now, hopefully, we have turned a corner on that. We have created safe and secure campuses, we have created some very good universities and we are basically very open to bringing people in.”
