Vaccines give international students travel confidence boost

News of Covid-19 vaccines raises hopes of normal university experience for international students

More than a fifth of prospective international students want to start their studies earlier after positive trial results for three Covid-19 vaccines raised the prospect of a return to normal university life.

A total of 21 per cent of potential students surveyed by the rankings and data firm QS said the recent news of the PfizerModerna and Oxford Covid-19 vaccines meant they wanted to begin studying sooner than they had previously planned—although the respondents did not give dates for when they originally wanted to take up their studies. All three vaccines are currently in development and have reported promising results.
