Survey reveals dissatisfaction with academic and social experience this term

More than half of students in England say they would request a full or partial tuition fee refund if teaching from January was online only, according to a major survey that reveals widespread student unhappiness at their university experience.

Data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on 9 December showed that more than half (51 per cent) of students said they would be likely or extremely likely to request a refund for some or all of their tuition fees if all teaching was online from January, while 26 per cent said they would be unlikely or extremely unlikely to do so.
