Most students consider dropping out, survey finds

       

Poll highlights concerns about money and mental health pressures among students

A survey of more than 3,000 students has found that almost 60 per cent have thought about dropping out of university, with more than half of those tempted to leave citing mental health as their top concern.

The 2020 Student Money survey, conducted by student finance group Save the Student, revealed that 59 per cent of students had considered leaving their course, with 55 per cent of them reporting mental health problems as their main reason.
