NUS survey reveals financial worries among student renters

More than two-thirds of student renters are concerned about their ability to pay rent, with around a quarter saying they have been unable to do so during the coronavirus pandemic, a National Union of Students survey has claimed.

Some 69 per cent of those canvassed told the NUS they were worried about rent payments, while 22 per cent said they had found themselves unable to meet those costs. Meanwhile, 27 per cent said they had found themselves unable to pay bills since the Covid-19 outbreak.
