Less money, more scrutiny

The Welsh education minister wants more transparency in the country’s higher education system.

Universities in Wales must become more accountable, according to a demand from Huw Lewis, the education minister in the Welsh Assembly.

In the annual remit letter to the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales, released today, Lewis outlines a series of measures he wants to introduce to sharpen scrutiny on universities.
