A project which has created nine African postgraduate programmes in disaster risk management since 2006 launched its third phase at Stellenbosch University in South Africa last week.
The third phase of the project, known as Partners Enhancing Resilience to People Exposed to Risks (Periperi U), is receiving US$4.9 million from USAID to help universities that have not launched degree programmes to do so and to recruit students.
