A South African husband and wife research team is sharing an inaugural prize given by the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) to celebrate African scientific achievement.
Salim Abdool Karim and Quarraisha Abdool Karim received US$5,000 for the inaugural Olusegun Obasanjo Prize for Scientific Discovery and Technological Innovation.
