Rolling back the desert in the Sahel

Nearly 50 poor villagers in parts of Sénégal which border the Sahara desert have improved their farm productivity by planting acacia trees.

The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (FAO) has been providing the seeds, seedlings and training.
