Ethiopia’s Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA) this month closed down five private colleges and issued warnings to another thirteen, citing quality concerns.
The HERQ director general, Tesfaye Teshome, said they assessed 57 private higher education institutions across the country.
