Etienne Ehouan Ehile has been named secretary general of the Association of African Universities (AAU).
Ehile, an Ivory Coast-born neurophysiologist, took over from Olugbemiro Jegede in October. Jegede has been at the helm of the Ghana-based institution since 2010, and he leaves to take up a government position in Nigeria.
