An African Union statistical body will undertake three research projects to promote evidence-based policymaking on the continent in 2013—the first projects to be undertaken by the African Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation.
The first of the projects by the Equatorial Guinea-based organisation is a bibliometric study analysing the number of scientific publications produced in Africa.
