Japan promises to increase Africa aid

Japan plans to increase its aid to Africa in 2013. The support would be used to tackle climate change challenges, help Africa build a strong human capital base and develop its agriculture, Japanese International Cooperation Agency officials told Tanzanian journalists on 6 December.

Tanzania will be among the beneficiaries of the aid, with its share going towards infrastructural development.
