A new academy to hone the research and innovation skills of African graduate students will hold its first training session in Nairobi in November.
The AfricaLics academy will hold the training from 19 to 30 November at Moi University in the Kenyan capital. The training invites PhD students to learn about issues within innovation studies, economic development, research methods and innovation policy.
The academy has been modelled on the Global Network for Economics of Learning, Innovation, and Competence Building Systems (Globelics), which trains young scientists through regular meetings, annual conferences, training courses and online mentoring.
