Developing countries shore up AIDS R&D

A move into HIV research funding by low- and middle-income countries is helping compensate for the decline in investments from traditional funders such as the US and Europe, says a report.

Countries such as China, India, South Africa and Thailand have increased funding and participation in HIV research projects, says the report, published on 23 July at the International AIDS Society Conference in Washington, DC.
