South Africa doubled microbicide spend in 2011

South Africa’s government is one of the few global funders that increased spending on HIV/Aids microbicide research last year, according to a report published at the International AIDS Society Conference in Washington, DC, last week.

The country ranks third in spending on HIV/Aids microbicide research in 2011, says the report produced by the HIV Vaccines and Microbicides Resource Tracking Working Group.
