Freedom of information researcher needed in Kampala

A Uganda-based, pan-African NGO that promotes freedom of information is looking for a legal/research officer for its Kampala headquarters.

The Africa Freedom of Information Centre was founded in 2006 with one of its primary purposes to advance research into free access to information, which it says is at a “very nascent stage” in Africa.

The successful candidate will carry out access to information research in different countries and regions, give opinions on topical right-to-information issues, build capacity and oversee legal issues related to AFIC activities.
