The newly minted Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa has a vacancy for a programme manager to be based in its Nairobi offices.

The successful candidate will work with AESA director Thomas Kariuki to establish a Grand Challenges Africa Initiative, liaise with African scientists and manage grants.

Applicants should know the African research funding landscape well, have knowledge of either French or Portuguese and the ability to “lead and inspire” researchers.
