Kenya’s government wants to establish a national observatory for science, technology and innovation performance.
The observatory, discussed last week in Nairobi, would provide policymakers with information and analysis of the national science landscape to improve performance and policymaking.
The observatory will be created with support from the Africa Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation in Equatorial Guinea; the Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators at the University of Pretoria, South Africa; and the World Bank.
