Kenyan university seconds researchers to environment agency

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Western Kenya has seconded researchers to Kenya’s National Environment Management Authority to help the agency deal with environmental degradation and mining.

The news was announced during the NEMA Regional Center of Expertise workshop at the university’s main campus in Kakamega town on 12 February.

The researchers will form teams to tackle environmental degradation and effects of mining, which are persistent problems in Kenya’s western region.
