Crop and livestock network created in Ethiopia

Ethiopia has created a platform for researchers, policymakers and the private sector to share and conduct research to improve crop and livestock productivity.

The Humidtropics Ethiopia Action Site R4D Platform is an expansion of two networks created in western Ethiopia in 2011 through the CGIAR Research Program on Integrated Systems for the Humid Tropics, the CGIAR announced on 4 March.

The CGIAR programme seeks to help tropical smallholder farmers to use methods that improve productivity while preserving their land.
