Uganda’s Makerere University and the University of Drexel in the US have agreed a five-year deal to collaborate in research and exchange staff and students.
The deal is an extension of an agreement between the two institutions’ health faculties to develop joint courses in maternal and child health and exchanging staff, Makerere said on its website on 2 March.
John Ddumba-Ssentamu, Makerere’s vice-chancellor, said the agreement is part of efforts to develop research at the country’s biggest university.
