The UK’s Department for International Development is looking for researchers to carry out an eight-month study on the impact of economic integration in the East African Community.
Successful applicants will be funded to write a literature review and conduct the feasibility study of how the EAC customs union has benefited or disadvantaged countries.
The EAC’s customs union allows Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda to charge a common tariff on imports from outside the region and for duty-free trade between member states.
