The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology in Kenya is offering two PhD scholarships for research on schistosomiasis, a tropical disease caused by worms.
The scholarships cover three years with research work beginning in February 2017 and ending in January 2020. They are funded by the German government.
One of the projects will seek to answer questions about the ecological and parasitological aspects of the illness, while the other will study the environmental chemistry of the disease.
