The Nairobi-based International Livestock Research Institute has signed an agreement to boost collaboration with the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation.
A signing ceremony took place on 29 August, with ILRI director-general Jimmy Smith and his KALRO counterpart, Eliud Kireger.
Under the agreement the bodies will create joint programmes to benefit the livestock sector in Kenya, as well as provide a way for end users of the research—farmers and pastoralists—to feed back into the research agenda.
