Workshop creates Kenyan indigenous vegetables network

A research collaboration between Kenya and the United Kingdom has created a research network to study indigenous vegetables.

The network will bring together researchers from UK’s Harper Adams University and Kenya’s Dedan Kimathi University of Technology involved in research on indigenous leafy vegetables.

The network was developed at a workshop held in Kenya in September. The Newton-Utafiti scheme, a partnership between the UK Newton Fund and Kenya’s National Research Fund launched in 2017, funded the workshop.
