Makerere University in Uganda revived its academic publishing house this week with the publication of three books—one on philosophy, one on linguistics, and one on Ugandan culture.
The publications were launched on 30 May at an event which also saw the launch of a new website for Makerere University Press. It’s the first publications to come out of MUP since 2011.
The press is also in the process of setting up three new academic journals: Makerere University Journal of Science, Makerere University Journal of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and the East African Journal of Higher Education Leadership and Management.
