Norway’s development agency, Norad, will fund three research projects to boost basic education in Africa.
The grants, announced on 12 August, will fund partnerships between Norwegian universities and counterparts in Ethiopia, Malawi and South Sudan to devise ways of improving primary and secondary education in poor countries.
The projects were selected from 21 applications received in response to a call for proposals in October last year for the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development (Norhed).
