Norwegian grants on offer for African research

The government of Norway has made NOK35 million (US$4.4m) available to African research organisations for research targeting their own local priorities.

The call is administered by the Norwegian development agency, Norad. Between four and six organisations will be supported for up to five years. The maximum annual amount which can be applied for is US$700,000.

Organisations need to source other means of funding as Norad’s slice of the total project budget cannot be more than half.
