Locals should lead in conflict research argues paper in BMJ Global Health

Local knowledge is crucial for the success of research undertaken during humanitarian crises, a paper argues.

The paper by United States researchers and one from Lebanon appeared in BMJ Global Health on 11 November. It says health research is an “urgent global imperative” in humanitarian crises, which include natural disasters, conflict and disease outbreaks.
