New university for northern Sudan

A new university will open next month in northern Sudan on the campuses left behind by three institutions, which moved back to the south following the partition of the country last July.

Bahri University was created to “take over” the Khartoum-based facilities of the three relocated universities, said Ayoub Khalil, who is the new institution’s first vice-chancellor.
