The open-access publishers, BioMed Central, are claiming prolific Sudanese gynaecology and obstetrics researcher Ishag Adam as a success story.
They have put Adam at the top of their list of 850 African academics who otherwise would not be able to afford to appear in their 200-plus open-access journals.
