The first African conference on research in chemistry education will be held in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, on 5 – 7 December.
The Federation of African Societies of Chemistry is organising the meeting with Addis Ababa University. The deadline for submissions is 15 August.
The conference will see educators and university staff share ideas, best practices and research findings to solve problems facing chemistry education in Africa. Sub-themes for the conference include: education in nano-chemistry; microscale chemistry teaching; the use of information communication technologies and multimedia for teaching; and trends in student assessment and ethical conduct in chemistry.
