The Organization for Women in Science for Developing Countries (OWSD) invites female students from sub-Saharan Africa to apply for its training fellowships.
Applicants should be female students in the field of natural science, wanting to complete a PhD at a centre of research excellence in the developing world. The fellowship programme is funded by the Swedish development agency SIDA.
“The purpose of the scheme is to contribute to the emergence of a new generation of women leaders in science and technology and to promote their effective participation in the scientific and technological development of their countries,” says OWSD programme officer Peter McGrath.
